Key Responsibilities:
Ensure the safety and well-being of all class participants.
Set up and clean up equipment before and after each course.
Provide clear and engaging instruction, ensuring participants understand the CPR, First Aid, and AED techniques.
Foster a positive learning environment that is both fun and professional.
Respond to emergencies and provide appropriate care as needed.
Build and maintain strong professional relationships with clients, partners, and colleagues.
Work collaboratively with other instructors and management teams to ensure smooth course operations.
Manage equipment inventory, cleaning, and re-stocking as needed.
Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Availability to work weekends and occasional weekday evenings.
American Red Cross Certification in CPR, First Aid, and AED (equivalent certification from American Heart Association is also accepted).
CPR, First Aid, and AED Instructor Certification (or higher) from American Red Cross (or equivalent certification from American Heart Association).
Ability to use online tools to submit and manage course records.
Access to a phone, laptop, internet, and email.
Ability to provide your own CPR/First Aid/AED training equipment, including feedback-compliant manikins, AED Trainers, and First Aid supplies.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Ability to lift 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods (up to 8 hours).
Preferred Qualifications:
At least 2 years of experience as a CPR instructor.
Ability to teach 2 weekends per month.
Spanish language proficiency.
Additional Information:
Part-time position with the opportunity to teach additional American Red Cross courses.
Teaching schedules may range from 4 to 8 hours per day.
Instructors will teach both onsite and remote classes to a variety of participants.
Compensation:
$22.00 - $25.00 per hour
