About the Role
As a CPR Instructor, you will lead classes of 4-12 students, teaching essential life-saving techniques. You'll create an engaging and interactive learning environment, ensuring students gain the confidence to respond effectively in emergencies. Classes are held in various settings, including offices, schools, medical facilities, and more. Responsibilities also include setting up and cleaning up before and after each course.

Key Responsibilities
Ensure the safety and engagement of all class participants.
Set up and organize training materials and equipment.
Deliver high-quality instruction in an engaging and clear manner.
Communicate course material effectively to diverse audiences.
Respond to emergencies and provide appropriate care if needed.
Build professional relationships with clients, partners, and team members.
Maintain and restock training equipment as necessary.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Availability to work weekends and some weekday evenings.
Certification in CPR, First Aid, and AED from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
Instructor certification in CPR, First Aid, and AED from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
Ability to use web-based technology to manage course records.
Access to a phone, laptop, internet, and email.
Possession of CPR/First Aid/AED training equipment (feedback-compliant manikins, AED trainers, first aid supplies).
Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.
Ability to lift 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods (up to 8 hours).
Preferred Qualifications:
2+ years of experience as an instructor.
Availability to teach at least two weekends per month.
Ability to teach classes in Spanish.
Additional Information
Opportunity to teach other American Red Cross certification courses.
Classes available in both public and private settings.
Part-time, independent contractor (1099) position.
Classes range from 4 to 8 hours per session.
Compensation
$22.00 - $25.00 per hour (based on experience and qualifications).
