**About the Role:**
We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to join our team as a full-time Assistant Treasurer. This role is perfect for someone who is detail-oriented, enjoys working with numbers, and is committed to ensuring accuracy in all tasks.
**Summary:**
As the Assistant Treasurer, you will collaborate closely with the Senior Vice President and Treasurer to oversee various aspects of Corporate Treasury. Your responsibilities will include managing the organization's investment portfolio, balance sheet management, pricing and financial risk management, interest rate risk, and fostering both internal and external relationships. You will also play a key role in preparing and presenting reports to the Asset Liability Committee (ALCO) on a monthly basis.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Manage the organization's investment portfolio, including purchases, sales, monthly analytics, and record maintenance. Review month-end reconciliations for accuracy.
- Collaborate with the Treasurer on all aspects of balance sheet management.
- Assist in liquidity management to ensure sufficient liquidity for operational and regulatory needs, including modeling to evaluate liquidity and funding strategies.
- Help manage the organization's derivatives portfolio, including back-to-back swap programs and Mortgage Service Rights hedge programs.
- Develop and prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly Treasury reports for senior management.
- Assist in the preparation and presentation of materials for the Asset Liability Committee (ALCO).
- Create and maintain reports related to macroeconomic trends.
- Serve as a liaison to other departments regarding treasury-related projects and initiatives.
- Update and ensure compliance with all relevant treasury policies and procedures.
- Monitor daily cash flow and collateral management.
- Perform duties in accordance with applicable industry laws and regulations, as well as established policies and procedures.
- Uphold Fair and Responsible Banking practices and adhere to the Code of Ethics and Conduct guidelines.
- Participate in the organization's Community Reinvestment Act program.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
**Education and Experience Requirements:**
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or a related quantitative discipline.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with Oracle Financial Software is preferred.
- Strong financial analysis skills, along with excellent verbal and written communication abilities, including the presentation of financial analysis.
- A strong work ethic, self-motivated, and capable of working independently.
- Ability to thrive in a team environment.
- Highly organized with a strong focus on detail.
- An MBA or advanced degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or another quantitative discipline is a plus.
- Experience in asset-liability management is preferred.
**Compensation:**
Pay will be commensurate with knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, and location.
